The Extension was announced on Sunday,Febuary 1,2015 by Mr Kayode Idowu, Chief Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Professor Attairu Jega.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended the deadline for collection of Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) to Sunday, 8th February 2015.
The Extension was announced on Sunday, February 1, 2015 by Mr Kayode Idowu, Cheif Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Professor Attairu Jega.
INEC had previously announced that Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) would End on Saturday, January 31,2015.
''INEC hereby calls on duly registered persons not to delay in going to collect their cards before the expiration of the new deadline, ''the statement reads.
''The commission reaffirms it determination to make 2015 elections free, fair , credible and peaceful; and urges all stakeholders, including voters, to spare no efforts in working towards the same objective, it also added .
Kayode Idowu also added that the extension would enable all registered voters collect their PVCs so that they could count their votes in the polls.
The General Elections will Commence on February 14,2015 with the presidential run-off.
